Visit Dubai Museum

The Dubai Museum (Arabic: متحف دبي‎) is the main museum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is located in the Al Fahidi Fort, built in 1787 and is the oldest building in Dubai. The Ruler of Dubai opened the museum in 1971 to present the traditional way of life in the Emirate of Dubai. It includes local antiquities and artefacts from African and Asian countries that traded with Dubai. It also tells how Dubai has grown from a small trading community to one of the world’s most modern cities.

The museum houses galleries on different themes such as:

– The history of Dubai

– Traditional Arabian houses

– The maritime history of Dubai

– Weapons and armour

– Coins and stamps

The museum also has a diorama of a souq, which shows how trade was conducted in the old days. There is also a section on traditional Emirati crafts such as pottery, carpentry, and metalwork. Visitors can also see a traditional Bedouin camp, which includes camel pens and huts made of palm fronds.

Dubai Opera is a 2,000-seat multi-format performing arts centre in the Downtown Dubai district of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Opera House is the centrepiece of The Opera District, a new cultural hub for the city. The building was designed by British architect Norman Foster and engineered by Arup AG. Construction of Dubai Opera began in early 2014, and it officially opened on 31 August 2016 with a gala concert featuring Plácido Domingo.

The venue can host multiple shows simultaneously across its three auditoriums: the Main Hall, which has a capacity of 2,000 seats; the Family Hall, which has a capacity of 500 seats; and the Studio Hall, which has a capacity of 250 seats. It has a rehearsal room, an artists’ lounge, and a rooftop restaurant.

Dubai Opera is the first opera house in the Middle East and one of the world’s newest performing arts venues. The venue hosts a variety of performances, including operas, ballets, concerts, musicals, and more. In its opening year alone, Dubai Opera hosted over 200 events with over 400,000 attendees.

The Main Hall features a retractable seating system that allows it to be transformed from an opera house into a theatre, concert hall, or banquet hall. The Family Hall is designed for smaller-scale productions and can be used as a cinema or lecture hall when not in use for performances. The Studio Hall is a versatile black box space that can be used for various purposes, including rehearsals, workshops, and conferences.

In addition to its three auditoriums, Dubai Opera has several other facilities that can be used for events and functions. These include the Roof Garden, which offers views of Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai; the Grand Foyer, a spacious and elegant pre-function area; and the Event Hall, a large hall that can be used for banquets, receptions, and other events.

Visit Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world, towering over Dubai at 828 metres. The mind-blowing structure has 163 floors and is home to residential apartments, corporate suites, restaurants, observation decks and more.

The Burj Khalifa was designed by Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, and construction was completed in 2010. The building’s exterior is covered in over 26,000 glass panels, and it contains 9 vertical cores that help support the massive weight of the structure.

At its highest point, the Burj Khalifa stands an incredible 828 metres tall (2,716.5 feet), making it the tallest manufactured structure in the world. It also holds several other world records, including the tallest free-standing structure, the tallest building with a roof, and the world’s highest outdoor observation deck.

The Burj Khalifa is truly an engineering and architectural marvel and a must-see for anyone visiting Dubai.

Visit Jumeirah Mosque

Jumeirah Mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in Dubai and an important symbol of the city’s Islamic heritage. The mosque is built in the traditional Fatimid style, with two minarets and a central dome. The mosque is open to visitors of all faiths and offers a fascinating insight into the city’s Islamic culture.

The Jumeirah Mosque is located on Jumeirah Beach Road, in the heart of Dubai’s bustling tourism district. The mosque is just a short walk from many of the city’s best-known landmarks, including the Burj Al Arab hotel and the Wild Wadi water park.

Visitors to the mosque are required to dress modestly, with women needing to cover their heads and shoulders. The mosque is open for tours from 9 am to 5 pm, Saturday to Thursday.

Visit Dubai Creek

Dubai creek is a saltwater creek located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It ends in the city’s Deira district. The creek is 12 miles (19 km) long and as deep as 50 feet (15 m).[1][2] Though formerly it extended to Ras al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary, the now constructed Jebel Ali Port has reduced its size to 10 miles (16 km). The creek was an important source of fish for the local community, but overfishing and pollution have significantly depleted the stocks. Efforts are underway to replenish them.[3]

The creek is also a popular spot for recreation, including swimming, fishing and boating. Several tourist attractions line its banks, including the Dubai Museum, the Gold Souk and the Spice Souk. The creek is spanned by several bridges, including the Al Shindagha Bridge, which connects Bur Dubai and Deira; the Business Bay Crossing, which connects Business Bay with Deira; and the Floating Bridge, which allows pedestrians to cross from Bur Dubai to Deira. A fourth bridge, the Al Garhoud Bridge, crosses the creek between Bur Dubai and Umm Hurair 2.

The creek is bordered by the districts of Bur Dubai and Deira. It forms a natural division between the two areas, without Dubai on the north and Deira on the south. Historically, the creek played an essential role in distinguishing between the two areas. In the early 20th century, it was known as the boundary between “Dubai City” on its north bank and “Deira Town” on its south bank.[4]

The creek separated Bur Dubai from Deira until 1961, when a land reclamation project joined them. The creek is still considered the dividing line between Bur Dubai and Deira today. You can visit Dubai Creek. There are many ways to see the creek, including taking a dhow cruise, a traditional wooden boat. You can also take a tour on an abra, a small water taxi. Or, you can walk along the creek to get a different perspective of the city.

Visit Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

The Grand Mosque is one of the most important Islamic sites in the world. Located in Abu Dhabi, it is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and can accommodate up to 40,000 worshippers at any time.

The mosque was built between 1996 and 2007, and its design is based on the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia. It is made from white marble and has 82 domes, 1,500 columns and a massive chandelier which hangs from the main prayer hall.

The Grand Mosque is open to non-Muslims and offers tours that provide an insight into the Islamic faith. Visitors are required to dress modestly and remove their shoes before entering the building. The Grand Mosque is a beautiful and awe-inspiring building that is well worth visiting if you are in Abu Dhabi.
